Me and my helper were rushing through a face frame cabinet install last week, trying to save time by using pocket screws instead of the Festool Domino for those tricky joints. Everything looked fine until the client loaded up the drawers and the whole thing started sagging like a bad hangover. Had to rip it all out and redo with the Domino system, which took twice as long but now it's rock solid. Saw a similar mess in the Carpenters of America Facebook group where a guy botched a bathroom vanity and had to eat the cost. Lesson learned: that tool ain't cheap but it saves your ass on callbacks. If you're green like me, just bite the bullet upfront. TBH, I watched an Essential Craftsman video on joinery that probably could've prevented this whole crap-show.

Haha, sounds like my first attempt at a butcher block counter, used cheap biscuits and it split right down the middle during demo.

Biscuits are trash for load-bearing stuff anyway.

Pocket screws for jigs only, never finals.

Pocket screws have their place but not on premium work.

Pocket screws are fine for shop builds but not installs.
