Out here in Pennsylvania, just wrapped my 30th year framing and cabinet work, and I'm charging $95/hr now because screw the lowballers. Been using Festool tools for a decade but their prices are insane, switched to DeWalt last year and haven't looked back. Anyone else tired of the Festool cult?

man, i feel you on the festool hype, its like they brainwashed half the shop with those prices. been saving up for a year just to afford one and now im second guessin every dollar spent. switched to dewalt for my drill and saw and damn if it doesnt get the job done without breakin the bank. sucks watchin the old timers push that cult stuff when us apprentices are barely makin rent. same shit here, wish id known better sooner.

deWalt's flexvolt line has held up way better for me on big framing jobs, saved about $800 switching from festool sanders alone. if you're doing cabinets, their 20v max router kit is a steal at half the price.

dewalt's 60v track saw does 90% of what the festool ts 55 does without the wallet pain. swapped my whole kit over and cut setup time by half on job sites.

how's the dewalts battery life holding up on those long cabinet jobs? i keep hearing the 60v packs drain faster than i'd like when you're pushing through multiple cuts. you notice any wobble issues with their tracks compared to what you had? switched over myself last year but still tweaking the setup. whats your go-to blade for it?

festool's a damn ripoff, dropped $2k on their domino last year and it crapped out on the third job, dewalts been solid without the hype.
