Been subcontracting out frameless cabinet installs using my Festool Domino system, but these GCs keep lowballing at $800 per kitchen when it takes my crew two full days. I put in the precision work with the Festool setup to ensure tight miters, but they're acting like it's just slapping together IKEA crap. Sick of getting stiffed on these gigs.

bump your rate to $1200 minimum for those frameless gigs with the domino, or walk away from gc's who undervalue the precision work. i learned that the hard way last month when i finished a kitchen in half the time but still got paid like it was junk. start quoting based on your crew's two-day effort and see who bites.

i turned down a similar gig last month and quoted $1500 flat for that precision frameless work with my domino, and the gc actually paid up because they saw the value in the tight joints that last. now im booked solid with repeat clients who appreciate not getting ikea-level crap. subcontracting's only worth it if you stick to your guns on pricing, man. shoulda raised your rates sooner.

those gc's are straight up robbing us with that $800 bullshit, acting like our festool precision is worth the same as some hack's screwgun special.

GCs are the WORST, lowballing skilled frameless installs like yours with that domino system while they pocket the difference on $800 jobs, it's straight up robbery.

GCs are the worst, they promise the world then pay like youre a day laborer. had a similar deal with electrical rough-ins last year, ate $1200 in losses.

exactly, they front load the cheap bids to win then bleed us dry on the back end.

Festool is top tier but yeah, $800 for that is robbery. id walk if they dont bump it to at least 1200.
