Man, these handyman clients drive me nuts, showing up with some half-assed idea about how to fix their deck railing using Kreg pocket hole jigs like they watched one YouTube vid and now they're experts. I quoted $450 for the repair job using pressure-treated 2x6s and stainless steel lag bolts, but they argued me down to $350 insisting they could 'supervise' and save time. Ended up taking twice as long because I had to redo their crappy measurements, and now they're pissed about the final bill. Total BS.

don't let clients 'supervise' ever, it'll just turn your job into a double-time nightmare like that and leave you with a pissed off homeowner who blames you for their bad ideas.

those handyman wannabes are the WORST, always thinking their youtube wisdom trumps real skills and turning simple jobs into nightmares. we all get screwed by 'em trying to nickel and dime while messing up our flow.

dude, i feel that every damn time with these know-it-all handymen who think one youtube vid makes em carpenters, ends up costing me twice the time and hassle.

those damn handymen always think theyre carpenters after one shitty youtube tutorial, and it turns every job into a redo nightmare that costs ya time and money.

dude, been there with those wannabe pros turning a quick fix into a full-day nightmare. they think a youtube tutorial makes em carpenters, but it just means more headaches for us.

Haha, sounds like my last gig where the guy handed me his 'design' for a bookshelf - straight lines my ass, it was a parallelogram nightmare with Festool cuts.

We all got those clients, man. Time to add a 'moron tax' line item to the estimate, or just walk away from the know-it-alls before they ruin your day. Insurance rates are high enough without their interference.
