I've been posting jobsite pics of frameless cabinets on Instagram and LinkedIn for the last six months, but the leads are drying up here in north jersey where everyone's got some DIY horror story. Spent $450 on targeted ads last month and only got two inquiries, both lowballing me at half my rate. Thought sharing before-and-afters with Festool cuts would hook 'em, but homeowners keep ghosting after the initial DM. Anyone else dealing with this crap in a competitive market like this? NGL, I'm about ready to stick to word-of-mouth referrals from my trim work. Maybe it's time to pivot to Reels showing the Kreg pocket hole assembly, but idk if that'll move the needle.

those damn lowballing homeowners in jersey are the worst, ghosting after you pour time into ads just to chase cheap DIY fixes instead of paying for real frameless work like they should.

social media cold outreach is a scam for custom cabinets, just attracts cheapskates who think ikea knockoffs are premium. i ditched instagram after wasting three months on reels, got nothin but tire-kickers askin for $3k jobs that should run $12k easy. screw the algorithm, it favors viral hacks over real tradesmen like us. go back to yard signs and referrals from realtors in north jersey, thats what lands the high-end gigs without the bs. lowballers ghostin aint your fault, its the platforms pushin fast furniture over quality work. been sayin this for years, socials kill more leads than they make for cabinet guys. fight me if you think otherwise, but my books dont lie.

man, those lowballing homeowners in jersey are the worst, i dumped $300 on facebook ads for my pipefitting gigs last year and got nothing but tire kickers who ghosted after i quoted them real numbers.

dont sink more cash into those ads, i saw a guy blow $2k on instagram for cabinet leads and end up with nothing but pissed off clients ghosting him mid-project.

those damn lowballing homeowners and ghosting DMs are screwing over every cabinet guy in jersey, time to ditch that social media BS and go back to real referrals before it kills the whole trade.

Social media's a scam for trades like us; fight me, but yard signs and networking at lumber yards land way more real jobs than any algorithm.
