Hey folks, I've been running my cleaning biz, Liberty Shine Services, out of Bayonne NJ for about a year now, doing mostly residential deep cleans and the occasional office touch-up. Last year I was charging $25 an hour per cleaner but with supply costs through the roof and gas prices killing me, I'm bumping it to $30 starting next month. Problem is, half my regulars are already griping about the economy, and I don't want to scare them off - anyone else in a tight spot like this?

Screw the cheapskates holding you back, time to let 'em go and find clients who value pro work.

nah man, just phase it in with a 'loyalty discount' for the first month so they don't bolt.

Haha, tell 'em it's for the new eco-friendly Simple Green concentrate we're all using now - works every time.

eco-friendly my ass, but yeah, blame it on inflation and watch 'em nod.

Print flyers with the new rate and drop 'em off - worked for me when I hiked my yard cleanup fees.

Offer a bundle - deep clean plus window wash for the old rate one last time, then transition.

Just did this and lost two clients, but gained three new ones at the higher rate.
