been running my residential cleaning service for 8 years now, and trying to build up instagram and tiktok for more leads, but damn, its eating into my actual cleaning time. i post before and after shots of kitchens scrubbed with method all-purpose cleaner and swiffer dusters, but engagement is meh, maybe 20 likes per post. out here in Arizona the heat makes every job a sweat fest, so im wiped after 6 houses a day, who has energy for reels? saw a thread on r/CleaningTips about using cleanmyspace tips for content, and someone in Cleaning Business Owners group mentioned hiring a VA for $15/hr to handle posting. tried that sharktank style vacuum demo video last week, got 50 views, but zero inquiries. feels like im spinning wheels when i could be mopping floors instead. any vets got a system that actually books jobs?

dont post anything without a clear call to action, like 'dm for a free quote on your dusty baseboards'.

yeah, and watermark your pics with your biz name so thieves cant steal em.

skip tiktok if youre over 30, stick to facebook groups for local cleaning referrals. that stuff actually converts.

facebook groups? hell no, too many complainers whining about prices instead of booking.

social media is bs, i got all my clients from nextdoor posts about steam cleaning grout.

wasted two hours yesterday editing a video of me using the bissell crosswave on hardwood, got three likes from bots. pissed.

bissell is overrated anyway, stick to manual mops for that authentic clean look in vids.

big corps are flooding feeds with ai generated cleaning hacks, us small guys cant compete without paying for ads.

insurance companies track your social if you claim anything, one bad review and rates skyrocket.

post consistently at 7pm when moms are scrolling, use hashtags like #arizonacleaning and #deepclean.

controversial take: delete it all and cold call realtors for office cleans.

realtors pay steady, $200 per empty house, way better than likes.
