Man, just wrapped up a 6-hour deep clean on this hoarder place out in rural Ohio, and I'm beat. The client had stacks of old newspapers and mystery stains everywhere, so I hit it with my Bissell Big Green and Simple Green degreaser, but it barely made a dent in the grime. Been doing residential cleaning for 8 years now, and these jobs always leave me questioning my life choices. Saw a similar rant in the Cleaning Business Owners Facebook group last week about burnout from the heavy lifting. Anyone else deal with this crap on the regular? FML.

Screw these hoarder clients, they expect miracles for peanuts and then complain about the smell.

Right? Insurance won't even touch half these jobs without extra riders.

Had one where the place was so bad we had to call biohazard cleanup, lost the whole day.

I feel you, those jobs wreck your back for days.

Yeah, invested in a good knee brace after the third one this year.

Same here, knees are shot from hauling trash bags full of junk.

Ugh, just finished a similar nightmare last Tuesday.

Damn, sounds rough. Take some epsom salt baths after those.

My crew and I powered through a 10-hour hoarder clean last month and billed them $800 for it, felt good to stick it to the mess.

Never go in without a solid contract outlining the extra time and hazards.

Watch out for hidden mold in those piles, had a guy end up in the ER from it.

These clients are the worst, always lowballing while the place is a disaster zone.

Try charging a hoarder premium upfront, saved my sanity on the last one.

Haha, had a client whose 'collectibles' turned out to be rat nests, chased one out with the vacuum.

Document every step with photos before you start, covers your ass if they freak out later.

Totally get it, those days make you wanna quit and open a car wash instead.
