Started my morning with a deep clean on a hoarder house in the greater Atlanta area, spent three hours just digging through 20-year-old pizza boxes and god knows what else while wearing my full Tyvek suit and N95 mask. Then swung over to a quick vac and wipe-down for a busy exec who tips like a champ but leaves her kid's finger paints smeared on every wall. Lunch was a protein bar in the van, dodging Atlanta traffic to hit a post-construction cleanup with the Bissell Big Green machine pulling up sawdust from hardwood floors that cost her $8k to install. Afternoon wrapped with organizing a garage that looked like a tornado hit, found a vintage Schwinn bike buried under junk, client was stoked and paid extra. Ended the day sore but with $450 in my pocket, NGL this job keeps me on my toes. Saw a similar rant on r/CleaningTips about hoarder jobs, made me feel less alone. Guy in Cleaning Business Owners group mentioned Melissa Maker's tips on Clean My Space for tackling that kind of mess, gonna check it out.

Never take on a hoarder without a contract that lets you walk if it's worse than described, had a place with biohazards last year and almost got sick.

Yeah, add a clause for hazardous waste removal fees too.

Smart, I learned that the hard way after a rat infestation job.

Bissell Big Green is a beast for post-construction, gets the fine dust that vacuums miss.

For garage organizes, always use those heavy-duty Rubbermaid totes, clients love seeing the before and after.
