walked into what i thought was a standard apartment clean today and the lady swears she just has a couple cats. turns out it's more like a dozen and the place is buried in litter boxes overflowing everywhere. i spent half the morning digging out from under piles of who knows what while she kept bringing me more 'supplies' like these ancient swiffer refills that were probably from the 90s. me and my helper were cracking up because every time we move a box it's like russian roulette with smells. watched a melissa maker video on cleanmyspace last week for hoarder tips but this was next level. by the end we had to call it after 4 hours because we hit the wall with the dust bunnies. anyone else got stories like this?

don't go in without a mask and gloves, had a job like that and ended up with a sinus infection for weeks.

masks are non-negotiable on those calls.
