We're in Houston so the traffic on I-10 is always a crap-show, and trying to schedule three crews for office cleanings with Jobber is killing me. Last week I had a guy show up 45 minutes late to a medical office job because of a wreck, and the client docked us $200 off the $800 invoice. Jobber's routing is supposed to help but it doesn't account for the constant construction out here. I've been running a small cleaning biz for 8 years and this is the worst part, eating into my margins. Someone in the Cleaning Business Owners FB group mentioned switching to Housecall Pro, but I'm skeptical after hearing about their glitches. Anyone else dealing with this in a big city?

Don't rely on any app for Houston traffic, itll screw you every time. Build in a 30 minute buffer minimum or eat the loss.

Buffer helps but clients still bitch. Lost a contract last month over it.

Yeah, tell them upfront in the contract or find new clients who get it.

Already in the contract, but they ignore it anyway.

Use Waze integrated with your scheduling, saved my ass twice this week.

Over-schedule and have backups ready, or you'll lose the big accounts.

FML, had the same issue yesterday with a crew stuck on 610 loop. Clients think we're slacking.

Traffic apps lie, always add extra time for rush hour or kiss your schedule goodbye.

Haha, my van got sideswiped in that mess last month, now I avoid peak times altogether.

This is why big corps are buying us out, they got the logistics down but screw the little guys like us.

Man, I feel you on the Houston grind, traffic turns a 20 min drive into an hour.

Same here, been late twice this month and clients are getting pissy.

I know the pain, started solo to avoid this BS but scaling up just amplified it.

Jobber sucks for routing, switch to Route4Me if you want something that actually works.

Clients docking pay is bullshit, put a clause in for traffic delays.

Hate how one wreck ruins the whole day, makes me wanna quit commercial altogether.

Finally ditched the apps and went old school with paper maps, hit 95% on time now.

Lol, my crew calls it the Houston shuffle, dance around the traffic or get left behind.

So fed up with the delays, thinking of raising rates just for city jobs.
