I've been subbing out the heavy deep cleaning jobs to a couple guys I trust, but lately they're ghosting me on last-minute commercial gigs. Last week I had to scramble for a 2000 sq ft office in the city, ended up paying $800 extra to rush in another crew with their Bissell Big Green machines. Switched to using Jobber to track subs better, but still feels like herding cats. Anyone got a solid system for reliable subcontractors on these detailing jobs?

subs are the WORST, always flaking when you need em most and leaving you to eat the cost like that $800 hit, damn near makes me wanna go back to solo gigs.

Dump the flakes and build a list of 5-6 solid ones, rotate them so no one's burned out.

That's what I do for my residential moves, keeps things smooth. Had one guy quit mid-season last year though.

Yeah, always have backups. Lost a $1200 job once because of that crap.

Jobber helped me vet subs by tracking their completion rates. Worth the hassle.

Subbing out window cleans here, same issue. FB group Cleaning Business Owners had tips on contracts that stick.
