Been running my solo house cleaning operation for 5 years now, mostly deep cleans and move-outs with my Bissell crosswave and Method all-purpose stuff. Out here in Arizona the heat makes everything dusty fast so jobs pile up, but tracking invoices for recurring clients is a pain without decent software. Tried QuickBooks Online last year and it's okay for categorizing supply costs like my bulk buys from Home Depot, but the reporting for profit on each clean feels clunky. Saw a thread on r/CleaningTips where folks raved about FreshBooks for service businesses, said it integrates better with Google Calendar for scheduling. Someone in the Cleaning Business Owners Facebook group mentioned it saved them hours on monthly closes. Anyone else ditched QB for something else? I don't need fancy payroll since it's just me, but gotta stay on top of deductions for mileage and chemicals.
quickbooks is a total scam preying on us solo hustlers, charging an arm and a leg for features that barely work while freshbooks at least doesnt make me wanna chuck my laptop out the window every invoice.

quickbooks online is a damn nightmare for solo ops like yours, always glitchin out on reports when i just need to see if im makin profit on those dust-bowl az jobs. ditched it for freshbooks two years back and it cut my end-of-month headaches in half, no more wrestlin with clunky categorizin.

quickbooks online is a total nightmare for anything beyond basic invoicing, ive wasted hours trying to make those damn reports work right for my cleaning gigs. switched to freshbooks a few months back and its still a hassle syncing up with my google calendar, but at least i dont wanna chuck my laptop out the window every night. the mileage tracking in qb is garbage, always double-counting my drives to dusty arizona jobs and screwing up deductions. those facebook groups make it sound like a magic fix but its just swapping one headache for another. if you find something that actually simplifies the monthly close without the bs, spill it cause im over this crap.

man, i've been there with quickbooks dragging my solo gig down, feels like wrestling a badger just to pull a simple profit report. switched to freshbooks a couple years back and it cut that bs in half, especially for tracking those recurring clean jobs without the headaches.

freshbooks is way simpler for solo ops like yours, integrates smooth with google calendar so you can drag jobs around without the hassle. i switched from qb online last year and cut my end-of-month time in half, plus it tracks mileage deductions automatically if you link your gps app. skip xero unless you want more customization, but for cleaning gigs it's overkill.

freshbooks sounds fancy but i tried it once and ended up scheduling my own damn vacation instead of jobs, total disaster. stick with qb, at least it doesnt pretend to be your secretary.

Switched to FreshBooks three years back after QB started nickel and diming me on add-ons, now my books are clean and I pull reports in under 10 minutes for tax time. Best move for keeping track of client deposits on those big spring cleans.

Haha, yeah QB is like that ex who keeps asking for more money after you break up. FreshBooks hooked me up with auto-invoicing for my window washing gigs, clients pay faster now. Don't sleep on their mobile app for snapping receipts on the go.
