I've been running a small residential cleaning outfit for 8 years now, and my referral program is a total crap-show. I offer a free deep clean add-on for every successful referral, but I'm barely getting any takers from my regular clients. Last month, I only landed two new jobs from it, and one of them bailed after seeing the contract. Switched to using Method all-natural cleaners to appeal to the eco crowd, thinking it'd spark more word-of-mouth, but nada. It's like everyone's too busy to bother recommending us unless there's cash involved. Anyone else dealing with this in the cleaning game? Feels like we're all just spinning our wheels on lead gen.

angis got us all by the balls with their lead fees, referrals are the only damn thing thats free but clients act like theyre too busy to even mention us. its bullshit how everyone chases the cheapskates instead of spreading the word.

man, i feel you on that referral grind... been spinning my wheels for years too, offering those free add-ons and getting zilch unless it's cold hard cash. clients just dont think twice about mentioning us unless their wallet's on the line. total bs when word-of-mouth should be free marketing gold.

screw the free clean add-ons, clients wont lift a finger unless you slap em with $50 cash per referral, and yeah i know the tax nazis hate it but results dont lie.

Try tying it to a simple gift card instead of services, works better for getting quick referrals without complicating your schedule.

Gift cards? Yeah, I did that last year and it doubled my referrals in three months, but make sure it's something local like a coffee shop so it feels personal.

What kinda incentives are you offering exactly, and how do you track 'em?
