Getting burned on bad reviews after $150 Bissell jobs

Dropped $150 on a deep clean with my Bissell ProHeat this week and the client still left a 2-star review complaining about a tiny spot I missed. It's like no matter how thorough you are with the carpet shampooer, one oversight tanks your rating. Watching that AmCleaning channel video made me rethink how we handle post-job feedback.

ask for a walkthrough right after the job so you can hit that missed spot on the spot and get their sign-off. that way, they cant claim it later in the review. i always snap a couple quick pics of the clean area too, helps when disputing bullshit feedback on yelp. worked for me last month on a similar gig.

ask for a walk-through right after the job so you catch any spots before they head out. if it's a no-go, respond to the review politely on the site and offer a free touch-up visit to turn it around. that bissell proheat's solid but clients always got one more nitpick, so document everything with before/after pics to back yourself up. works for me every time on these small gigs.

try snapping a before-and-after pic with your phone on every job, shows the client what you started with and theyre less likely to nitpick one spot.

Haha yeah, I just laugh it off now and focus on the 5-stars.

Hit 50 5-star reviews this year by sending thank-you notes with photos of the before/after, keeps 'em happy and boosts the profile.

Man, that sucks. Had a similar thing with a window job, client nitpicked and it hurt my average for weeks.

Totally feel you, those low ratings sting especially when you've poured hours into the detail work.
