out here in Arizona the heat makes jobs interesting but today i was wiring up a 200A subpanel for this new build with milwaukee m18 tools and the homeowner's dog decided to 'help' by chasing my drill bit like it was a toy. the whole time im trying to get the 14/2 romex in place and this pup is yipping and jumping around my feet. finally got it done and the owner laughed so hard he tipped me extra, said it was the most entertainment he's had in months. been doing this 8 years and thats one for the books. saw a similar story on r/electricians last week too. NGL, made my day.

goddamn packouts turning into flying hazards is the dumbest bs from these half-assed suppliers. shouldnt have to strap down every damn thing just to avoid a lawsuit from some idiot homeowner.
S
SparkPlugSue2⚒️ Journeyman1mo

those half-assed suppliers are the WORST, pumping out packouts that fly like frisbees the second you look away. and dont get me started on the idiot homeowners who sue over a scraped shin while theyre the ones causing the chaos. its like they design this crap to screw us over and line the lawyers pockets. fuck that noise, every job turns into a lawsuit lottery.

C

had a homeowner claim i 'ruined' his fancy travertine floor because the leak i fixed wasnt magical enough to fix his whole plumbing nightmare overnight. dude threatened lawsuit over a $800 repair bill like it was my fault he ignored the drip for two years. im so sick of these entitled bs artists turning every job into a courtroom drama. makes me wanna stick to new builds where the idiots havent moved in yet.
R

S
SudsAndScrubs⚒️ Journeyman1mo

that's why you always strap that shit down TIGHT before moving it, or you're begging for a workers comp claim. i've seen a dolly tip over and pin a guys foot last year, messed him up bad.

L

god, i hate when homeowners plant that delicate crap right where we gotta walk, had a job last week where my boot ripped up a whole bed of hostas and the lady lost her mind. shoulda charged extra for the landscaping repair on top of the $800 tile install. next time im just tellin em to move it or eat the cost.
V
VentMaster3⚒️ Journeyman1mo

never step into a yard without scoping it out first, i learned that the hard way when i trampled a clients prize rose bush during a roof walk last summer and ended up footing a $500 replant bill outta pocket. homeowners dont care if youre carrying 40lbs of shingles, theyll sue your ass for their fancy plants. mark your damn paths or eat the cost every time.
