Cold calling for panel upgrades - just quoted $4500 for a Square D main and they hung up

Tried cold outreach on a few older homes yesterday, pitching panel upgrades since everyone's talking about those outdated FPEs. Hit one guy with a $4500 quote for a full Square D replacement and he just laughed and hung up on me. Been doing this for 10 years and these calls are getting nowhere fast.

Man, I feel that. Cold calls for electrical work are brutal, especially when they're not even complaining about flickering lights yet.

Stick to warm leads from r/electricians referrals instead. For panel jobs, I bundle in a free inspection to soften the blow - gets em in the door without the hard sell.
