Been sending out cold emails to building managers about upgrading to Square D sub panels, quoting $2,500 installed with 100A service. Half the time they don't even reply, and the ones that do say they're 'shopping around' for cheaper bids. It's like we're all just spamming each other in this race to the bottom. FML, this cold outreach crap is wasting my time when I could be pulling wire instead.

Switch to LinkedIn messages instead, way higher response rate for me on those panel upgrades.

Don't bother with cold outreach, you'll get buried in complaints about NEC compliance if you lowball.

Exactly, one wrong email and you're explaining why your Square D quote skipped the ground bar.

Had an inspector nail me for that last year, cost extra $800 to fix.

Try attaching a quick PDF breakdown of the install costs, makes the $2500 seem legit.

Cold calls are a joke, I just wait for referrals from the HVAC guys after they spot overloaded panels.

Screw these building managers, they're the worst - always nickel and diming on essential electrical work like sub panels.

Yeah, it's all the same BS, chasing ghost leads while real jobs pile up from pissed off homeowners.

SharkBite for plumbing is bad enough, but cold outreach for electrical? You're asking for code violations if they pick the wrong guy.

Hate when clients ghost after I quote $2500, then call back panicking about tripped breakers.

Personalize the emails with their building's age or last inspection date, pulls in more bites.

Tried that, still got ignored. These commercial types think they're too good for us sparks.

Lol, sent one to a manager who replied with a meme about electricians being vampires. Wtf.

try personalizing your cold emails with a quick mention of a recent NEC code update or a square d qo load center spec - gets em to at least reply instead of ghosting.

what kinda meme was it, like the full vampire fangs and blood thing or just some dumb cartoon? been sending out quotes like that too and getting nada back. you think its the square d brand or just them being lazy?

those vampire electricians are the WORST, always ghosting on solid square d quotes while they chase the big commercial gigs and leave us scrapping for sub panel scraps.

i've landed three $2800 square d subpanel gigs this month by following up with a quick text pic of the spec sheet, shows im serious and not just another spammer. vampire electricians can keep ghosting, my book's filling up faster than theirs.

man, those ghosting electricians are a total pain in the ass, been there chasing sub panel jobs and getting nada back for weeks. i sent out like 20 square d quotes last month and only two even replied, the rest just vanished into thin air. feels like they're all too busy with those fat commercial contracts to bother with us little guys. sucks when you've got the solid spec sheet ready and they dont even acknowledge it. i started adding a quick follow up text the next day but half the time my numbers are wrong anyway. whats worse is when you finally connect and they lowball you just to steal the gig. been dealing with this crap for years now, makes you wanna switch to residential full time. hang in there brother, eventually the right ones bite.

Mention Electrician U's sub panel tips in your email footer, adds cred without trying hard.

Yeah, and throw in a line about how your $2500 install beats the DIY disasters they see on YouTube.
