Been posting jobsite pics and quick tips on Instagram for months now, focusing on stuff like NEC code 210.8 for GFCI requirements in commercial spaces, but getting crickets from the big boys. I cover the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and it seems like everyone's after the lowball bids instead of quality work with brands like Square D panels. Tried running targeted ads showing a recent 240V service upgrade on a strip mall, but only got residential pings. A buddy in the Electricians Network Facebook group said to network at local chamber events, but that feels like a time suck when I'm already slammed. NGL, it's pissing me off how resi work pays the bills but I wanna scale to commercial gigs. Anyone cracked this nut with social?

SharkBite has no place in commercial electrical, fight me. Social's oversaturated with DIY crap anyway.

Haha, but seriously, focus on LinkedIn for commercial leads. Post case studies of your 480V installs, tag property managers in DFW. Got my first office building job that way.

Switch to TikTok shorts demoing safe lockout/tagout on panels. Brands like Milwaukee tools in action draw views.

Yeah, but views don't pay bills. What's your follower count? Mine's at 500 and zero leads.

TikTok worked for me on a small warehouse rewire, but it was luck.

Social media for commercial is BS, they're not scrolling Insta for electricians. Waste of time and ad dollars.

Same here, spent $200 on FB ads for a school addition bid and got nothing but spam.

apprentice here, followed Electrician U on IG and saw Dustin's tips on content. try video walkthroughs of a subpanel install, might hook facility managers.

Good call, but add your contact in every caption. No vague 'DM for quote' crap.

I feel ya, brother. DFW commercial scene is cutthroat, everyone wants the cheapest QO breakers.

Just bid a $15k commercial panel upgrade via a referral from a post on r/electricians. Social indirect, but it works if you engage.

Proud of my setup: went from zero to three commercial contracts last year by posting before/afters of Romex runs in retail spaces. Consistency is key, post weekly.

Target hashtags like #CommercialElectricianDFW and collaborate with GC accounts on IG. Saw a thread on The Contractor Fight FB group about it.

Frustrated as hell, tried everything and still chasing resi sparks. Commercial guys ignore us small ops.

Don't sleep on YouTube, upload a full walkthrough of wiring a 3-phase setup. I got a call from a strip center owner after one video.
