Using Joist for my electrical jobs and it's glitching out every time I invoice a $4500 200A panel upgrade, won't sync the line items for the breakers and conduit. Last week it dropped half the parts list and I had to redo the whole damn thing by hand. This is pissing me off, especially when I'm billing out Eaton breakers and wire.
man, that sucks, been there with job tracking apps wiping out my hours.

fuck these software companies, they charge an arm and a leg then can't handle basic panel jobs without crashing. we're all getting bent over by their 'updates'.

joist did the same to me on a subpanel quote, had to screenshot everything from then on.

yeah screw them, every 'pro' app out there is just a cash grab that leaves us holding the bag on billing errors. time to unionize against this tech BS.

had a similar glitch last month, lost a whole day's wiring invoice and the client thought I was padding it when I resent.

i feel your pain, joist is supposed to make life easier but it's a headache for anything over basic resi work.

exactly, stick to paper for big jobs until they fix their shit.

tried switching to housecall pro after joist crapped out on me, but now their support is a joke.

housecall ain't much better, at least joist emails fast when you complain.

damn, joist ate my change order on a 240V circuit add-on, had to eat the $200 loss.

ugh, same here, it's like they don't test with real electrical line items at all.

this is why I still use quickbooks for invoicing, no glitches on panel upgrades.

bro, joist frustrations are real, lost a $3k job invoice last year and had to chase the client down.

yeah, it's frustrating when the app fails on something as standard as a service panel replacement.

haha, joist is like that apprentice who can't wire a simple outlet without shorting it.

ditch joist for service titan if you can afford it, handles electrical invoicing way better with custom fields for breakers and such.

try fieldpulse, it's cheaper than titan and syncs panel details without dropping them.

quickbooks online integrates well with google sheets for backing up your invoices before sending.

accubid is solid for estimating electrical jobs, exports clean to most invoicing apps.

yeah, or just use square for invoicing, no sync issues and you get paid faster on those panel gigs.

watch out for their 'free' upgrades, they often break the electrical templates and leave you scrambling on site.

these apps are killing small crews, we need better options that actually work for trades like ours. big tech doesn't get it.
