alright, so im a couple years into this electrical gig and today i get called to hook up a hot tub install out here in Arizona where the heat makes everything a pain in the ass. customer wants a 50A 240V circuit, so i figure ill add a subpanel off the main with a 60A breaker feeding it, using 6/3 NM-B cable cause thats what i had on the truck. got it all wired up, neutrals and grounds separated per NEC 408.40, but now the damn thing trips when i fire up the pump. watched that Electrician U video on subpanel installs last night thinking it would save me, but maybe i missed something on the bonding? anyone got a quick fix or am i ripping it out? saw a similar mess on r/electricians last week with someone using wrong wire size.
