Up in New Jersey, I had to let this kid go after he wired a 240V dryer outlet wrong and nearly started a fire on a service call. Cost me $2500 in emergency repairs and a pissed off customer who's now badmouthing me on Yelp. Electrical work ain't forgiving, especially with NEC code 210.8 breathing down your neck every job.

Finally built a solid crew of four after years of turnover, now we're hitting 20 jobs a week without the drama.

Man, that sucks. Lost a good helper last month to the same kinda screwup.

Yeah, it's heartbreaking when you invest time training them.

These apprentices coming out of trade school with zero hands-on, it's a DISASTER waiting to happen.

Insurance companies are jacking rates because of idiots like that, we're all paying for it.

Jersey's market is brutal, one bad review and you're toast.

Exactly, word spreads fast in these tight-knit areas.

Saw a similar rant in Electricians Network FB group, everyone's fed up with sloppy work.

FML, I trained a guy for six months, he quits for a union gig and tanks my schedule.

Haha, at least you didn't have to chase him down with a torque wrench like I did once.
