Just finished a commercial panel upgrade using a Square D QO load center for a strip mall office, everything code compliant per NEC 408.36. Client was happy on site, but now they left a 1-star review claiming we dragged our feet and overcomplicated it. I've been building my rep with commercial clients for years, but this BS is killing me. Saw a similar rant in the Electricians Network FB group last month, guy said to ignore it but that ain't cutting it. Anyone got tips on replying without sounding defensive? NGL, tempted to just delete my profile and start over.

Reply professionally, state the facts of what you did and offer to discuss offline. Keeps it from escalating.

That's solid advice. I always add 'happy to address any concerns directly' at the end.

Yeah, and screenshot everything from the job in case it goes further.

Happens to the best of us, man. Commercial clients think they're entitled to perfection.

Screw that, fight back with proof of your work. Post pics of the install if you can.

Feel you, I had a warehouse job where the owner nitpicked every wire nut.

Same here, lost a referral over it. Brutal.

Don't engage emotionally, but yeah, it sucks when one bad apple poisons the well.

Exactly, been there with a retail client who ghosted after the review.

Had a client complain about dust from conduit runs, then boom, bad review. LOL, like we control physics.

Never trust a client who smiles during the job but rages online later. Red flag city.

Watch out for fake reviews too, report it if it smells off. Google takes that seriously sometimes.

This is why I avoid commercial altogether now, too many divas with deep pockets and short fuses.

Big warning: if they mention lawyers in the review, get your own on speed dial ASAP. Seen it turn into a nightmare.

Pro tip, ask for reviews right after the job when they're still buzzing. Beats waiting for the salt.
