Subbing out a 200A panel upgrade to a buddy who uses Square D QO breakers, but Housecall Pro's subcontract billing is screwing me on the split. Charged $4500 total, should be 60/40, but it won't track the sub's hours right. Anyone else dealing with this crap?

Haha, sounds like my ex-wife's alimony demands.

At least the ex sends a check, Housecall just eats your time.

True that, switched to Joist after that BS.

Lol yeah, but seriously, export to QuickBooks manually every time.

PE vultures buying them up, prices jacked 30% last year.

Ditch Housecall for ServiceTitan if you're subbing often, integrates better with subcontractor portals.

ServiceTitan? That's for big boys, costs a fortune.

Man, been there with panel jobs, subs ghost you on the invoice split every time.

How do you even find reliable sub electricians these days?

Same here, lost $800 last month on a subbed EV charger install because of billing glitches.

Try FieldEdge, their sub module actually works without constant updates.

Don't trust any software for subs, do paper splits and pay direct.

Subcontracting is a trap, always ends up with disputes over NEC code compliance costs.

Lol, my sub once billed me for 'travel time' to a job across the street.

What kinda margins you leaving for the sub on that $4500 panel?

Service Fusion has a decent invoicing for subs, free trial worth it.

These platforms are designed to screw the little guy, especially us wiring residential.

Yeah, and then they charge extra for 'premium support' when it breaks.

Solid advice, but how do you handle lien rights with subs in the software?

Lost a whole afternoon fixing a Housecall sub invoice last week, pissed.

Square D panels are gold, but subs always skimp on the grounding.

Subs are the worst, always underquoting then padding expenses later.

Haha, told a sub I'd pay him in Bitcoin next time to match the digital BS.

Watched Electrician U on TikTok, he rants about this software crap all the time.

r/electricians has a thread on sub billing disasters, check it.
