I'm a mid-level sparky out in north jersey, zone 5 winters make outdoor work a crap-show half the year. Been running solo on residential electrical jobs, but leads for things like 200A subpanel upgrades using Square D QO breakers are drying up, only closed 3 this month at $4500 a pop. I've tried optimizing my Google Business Profile but the Angi leads are trash, costing me $200 just to get ghosted. Someone in the Electricians Network Facebook group mentioned using Nextdoor for local electrician referrals, worth a shot? Also saw a thread on r/electricians about YouTube shorts driving calls, but not sure if that's for me. Any of you guys in similar markets share how you generate steady subpanel work without burning cash on crappy lead services?
