Tried posting my Square D EV charger jobs on Instagram Reels last month, figured it'd drum up some leads in north Jersey where everyone's going electric. Quoted a basic 50A install at $2200 including the Eaton charger and trenching to the garage, but half the DMs just vanish after I send the breakdown. Watched that Electrician U video on social media tips for sparks, thought I'd try the before-and-after shots, but customers here are cheap AF and want it for $800 like it's Home Depot DIY. Saw a similar rant in Electricians Network FB group about social pricing backfiring. Anyone cracking the code on this without undercutting yourself? NGL, it's frustrating when the likes don't turn to checks.

Show the value add in your reels, like code compliance and why cheap installs fail inspections, that'll justify the $2200 tag.

Yeah but in Jersey, they still haggle like it's a flea market.

Don't quote over DMs, get them on a call to walk through NEC 625 requirements and upsell the hardwire.

Calls filter out the tire-kickers, but man it eats your time.

Same here, social leads are 90% BS unless you gate the price behind a consult.

Insurance claims from botched EV installs are skyrocketing, stick to your guns or get buried in callbacks.

FML, had a guy bail after seeing my $2200 post and then call back a month later when his DIY fried the breaker. Jersey customers gonna Jersey.
