Man, I'm in north jersey, zone 5 winters make everything a rush, and just quoted a $4500 panel upgrade with a Square D QO load center for this old colonial house. Customers always want it done yesterday, but with all the permits and inspections, I can't just snap my fingers. Been juggling three jobs this week alone, and the dispatching app keeps glitching on route times. AFAIK, most guys up here deal with the same crap, waiting on the township for approvals that take weeks. It's killing my margins when I'm paying the helper to sit around. Anyone got tips for streamlining this?

Screw the townships up there, they're the worst for dragging their feet on electrical permits, always some BS code violation they pull out of nowhere.

Yeah, had a job last year where they nitpicked the grounding rod depth like it was life or death. Pissed me off so bad I almost walked.

Same here, quoted a similar swap and the customer bailed because of the wait time. Lost $3k easy.

Feel that, bro. Been there with my first big panel job, sat idle for days waiting on the inspector. Now I build in buffer time and warn 'em upfront.
