Hey folks, I've been doing cold outreach to homeowners with new EVs in the driveway, offering upselling on installs like adding a Tesla Wall Connector for faster charging. Watched a Dustin Stelzer video on Electrician U that got me thinking about scripts - mine goes something like 'Saw your Tesla, bet you're tired of the slow charge - I can hook up a 48A unit in under 4 hours for peace of mind.' Landed a $1500 job last week off that, no BS.
damn, your script's smoother than a tesla on autopilot - mine usually ends with 'or you could keep charging overnight like it's 2010' and they laugh right into the upsell 😂

nailed a $2200 wall connector install yesterday using that same script, feels good turning a driveway spot into easy cash. tesla owners are always down for the upgrade once you mention the 48a boost.

tried cold outreach like that last month and got hung up on five times in a row, homeowners act like you're selling snake oil. shoulda stuck to warm leads, this ev stuff is a crapshoot.

cold outreach for ev chargers is a total waste of time, got slammed with hangups and one guy called me a scammer before i even mentioned the upsell price.

damn, your script's smoother than my last cold call where i asked if they wanted their tesla to charge faster or just keep looking like a fancy golf cart.

man, cold outreach feels like knocking on doors in the rain sometimes, but damn if it doesnt pay off when it does. i tried something similar last summer targeting folks with those new leafs in the driveway, pitching level 2 chargers, and got shut down more times than i can count. homeowners just stare at you like you grew a second head, acting like their extension cord from the kitchen is cutting edge. been there with the slow charge complaints though, had one guy whine about his tesla taking all night and i felt his pain after a long day crawling attics. finally landed a 240v install gig after tweaking my pitch to mention the 30 amp draw difference, made it sound less salesy. still, half the time im eating ramen because the no's stack up fast. your script sounds solid though, wish id seen that dustin video sooner. keeps me going knowing others are hustling the same grind.

What's your follow-up if they say they're good with the mobile connector?

I pivot to code compliance - mention NEC 625 and how a pro install avoids fire risks, usually hooks 'em for at least a consult. Throw in a free panel check to sweeten it.
