Been running a referral program for my electrical service where I give $50 off the next job to anyone who sends me a lead that books, but up in Jersey with all these old houses needing panel upgrades, I'm barely getting any takers. Last month I only landed two referrals after handing out flyers at every service call, and that's costing me more in printing than it's worth. Anyone else feeling this pinch in a saturated market like this?

screw the discounts, im charging $100 cash referral bonuses straight to the referrer and its pulling in way more leads than your flyer crap ever did.

screw flyers in jersey, everyone's too damn paranoid about scammy contractors to refer anyone these days. go straight to facebook groups instead, thats where the real leads hide without the bullshit.

damn these jersey homeowners are the worst, theyll take the free advice but wont refer for shit even after i fix their crap wiring. flyers are a waste when angi and those lead-gen vampires are sucking up all the jobs first. saturated market like this, were all getting screwed outta what should be easy word-of-mouth work.

damn right, these jersey homeowners are too damn cheap to refer anyone unless you're giving away free panels, it's all word of mouth or bust in this crapshoot market.

switched to a $100 visa gift card for every booked referral and now i'm pulling in 8-10 a month from word of mouth alone, feels damn good to see it pay off.

man, referrals in jersey are a crapshoot too, tried $75 off last year and still got zilch from all the folks i handed cards to on those panel upgrade gigs.

try uppin your referral incentive to $100 off, thats what my boss does for panel upgrades and it gets us more leads from the neighbors. flyers are a waste out here too, better to hit up nextdoor app and post before/after pics of the jobs. just did a 200amp upgrade in an old jersey colonial last week and the neighbor called us right after seein the truck.

Those cheap referral gimmicks are straight-up BS in this industry, every sparky in Jersey's doing the same crap and homeowners just pocket the discount without ever referring jack. Screw it, I'd rather throw that $50 into Google ads targeting the neighborhoods with outdated 100A services before the next storm hits.
