Taxes are screwing my small electrical shop this year, been dumping hours into QuickBooks Online just to track wire runs and panel upgrades. Switched from the desktop version last month thinking it'd save time on invoicing 240V jobs, but now I'm staring at $800 in unexpected fees for the premium features I need to log my Eaton breakers properly. Watched an Electrician U video that made it seem easier, but man, it's a crap-show trying to deduct tool costs without messing up the reports.

screw quickbooks online, it's a money pit designed to bleed us dry on fees while we track romex and breakers. ditch it for freshbooks and tell the irs to shove their deductions, imo.

ditch the premium tier and just tag your eaton breakers as 'tools' in basic quickbooks online, itll categorize deductions without the extra $800 hit.

ditch the premium quickbooks crap and try gnucash for free, it'll handle your eaton breaker logs without the $800 hit. been using it for years on my side gigs and exports clean to tax software.

ditch the premium tier and use the reports export to excel for tracking those eaton breakers, saves me $400 a year. set up categories for wire runs and tool deductions upfront so quickbooks online doesnt screw the reports.

ditch the premium quickbooks features and just use the free trial of freshbooks for your electrical invoicing, it'll handle eaton part tracking without the $800 hit. set up categories for wire runs and panel jobs right from the start so deductions dont screw your reports.

screw quickbooks online, its a bloated cash grab that aint worth the hassle for us small time electricians when a free spreadsheet handles eaton breakers and 240v deductions just fine.

ditch the premium in quickbooks online and just use the free export to excel for your eaton breaker logs, saves me about $500 a year on fees without screwing up deductions.

ditch quickbooks online for freshbooks if you're solo, it's half the cost and handles 1099s for your helpers without the premium BS. set up categories for eaton parts right off the bat to keep those deductions clean.

Fuck the tax man, every sparky I know is getting bent over by these software hikes and IRS bullshit. We're out here risking shocks for peanuts while they nickel and dime us on deductions.
