Jersey contractor, been doing this 20 years, and im so pissed at how scheduling software is screwing us on the electrical side. We signed up for Housecall Pro thinking it'd make routing easier for panel upgrades and rewires, but the damn thing keeps glitching on multi-day jobs like that 200A service change we had last week. Me and the boys was running back and forth across north jersey because it wouldnt sync the truck locations right, ate up two hours easy. Out here old houses everywhere, so every call's a potential knob-and-tube nightmare, and this software aint helping with the back-to-back bookings. Watched a Electrician U video on workflow hacks, but even that didnt fix the dispatch alerts bombing out. Anyone else dealing with this crap in their electrical ops? FML.

Ditch housecall pro for multi-day jobs if you can, i saw a crew in jersey lose a whole day last month when it glitched on a service upgrade and they ended up double-booking trucks. could've been a disaster with those old knob-and-tube setups if they didnt catch it in time.

try switching to fieldedge for those multi-day electrical gigs, it syncs truck gps way better and cut our routing headaches in half on north jersey jobs.

housecall pro is a total piece of crap for anything beyond basic solo gigs, been fighting it for months on our panel upgrades. last week it dropped a whole dispatch for a 400a service in essex county, had me and my helper chasing ghosts across traffic for an hour. wouldnt sync the crew locations right, just like you said, and we ended up double booking a knob and tube pullout that turned into a full day mess. these glitches are killing my schedule, especially with all the old wiring calls popping up nonstop. feels like they built it for plumbers and forgot electricians need real routing for multi truck ops. anybody switched to something better yet, or we all just screwed?

housecall pro's got me dreaming of carrier pigeons for my plumbing runs, at least they don't glitch and send me to the wrong zip code. switched to a flip phone for jobs once, saved my sanity til the wife made me upgrade lol.

housecall pro is a total clusterfuck for multi-crew jobs like yours, keeps screwing up the routing and leaves us chasing our tails on those panel swaps. me and my guys lost a full afternoon last month in similar BS, wouldnt sync the locations and we ended up double-booking half the damn day. these software hacks are just padding their pockets while we eat the glitches, time to ditch this crap.

housecall pro is a total scam for electrical crews, they promise seamless routing but it's just a glitchy mess that leaves us chasing our tails on multi-day jobs like those damn panel swaps.

controversial take: ditch the apps, just use google calendar and a whiteboard. works 90% better for my small crew.

what's the biggest glitch you've hit with multi-day electrical jobs?

the routing fails hard on traffic-heavy days, cost us a client once.

dont rely on it for critical stuff like nec code checks, stick to paper backups or you'll get burned.
