that flooring reel hack almost got me slicing my thumb off lol

so i saw this reel from flooringguy on instagram, the one where he says leave this angle on the lvp cut to save time and clicks. figured id try it on a kitchen job with coretec plus planks, sounded smart. knife slipped on the bevel and damn near took off my thumb, blood everywhere while the homeowner's kid is watching. thank god for quick clamps and bandages, but now im rethinking all these diy tips. anyone else had a near-miss with vinyl plank tricks? saw something similar in the flooring contractors network group last week, guy swore by it too. watched a few more videos after to double-check my cuts. tbh, sticking to the ridgid cutter from now on.
