Subcontracting LVP installs to keep up with demand? Tired of the BS

Man, I've been running my flooring crew ragged trying to keep up with all these vinyl plank jobs, and subcontracting out some of the installs is starting to feel like the only way to not burn out the guys. Last week we had three kitchens and a whole basement in LVP going, using that Coretec stuff which clicks together nice but still takes time to acclimate and level everything perfect. I reached out to a couple subs through the Flooring Contractors Network group, but half of them ghosted me after quoting, and the ones who showed up had crap tools, like beat-up old knee pushers that slowed everything down. It's frustrating when you're trying to grow but these unreliable subs make it a crapshoot. Anyone else dealing with this in flooring? Saw a similar rant on r/Flooring about subbing out carpet jobs. Watched this Tommy Mello video where he talked about vetting subs better, might have to try that. Edit: just had another no-show today, FML.

Subs in flooring are the WORST, always flaking on LVP jobs and leaving you holding the bag with pissed clients.

Tell me about it, had one sub botch a whole room last month, had to rip it up myself.

Yeah, it's like they think flooring is easy money, no respect for the prep work. Subbed out a tile job once, never again.

Prep is 80% of the job, these clowns don't get it. Stick to in-house if you can afford it.

Subcontracting sucks when they don't show, but sometimes it's the only way to scale LVP installs.

Scale yeah, but at what cost to quality?

Quality always takes a hit with subs, IMO.
