I've been running a small flooring outfit here in north Jersey for 8 years now, and with all these laminate jobs piling up, scheduling the crew is a total crap-show. Last week I had three installs overlapping, one with Pergo flooring that took longer than expected because the subfloor was uneven, and it cost me $800 in overtime just to keep the guys moving. We're using Jobber for the scheduling, but it doesn't handle the traffic around here worth a damn, especially with the winter delays. Saw a thread on r/Flooring about this, and everyone was complaining too. Anyone got tips on better software or ways to juggle multiple laminate and LVP jobs without pissing off clients? Guy in the Flooring Contractors Network group mentioned switching to Housecall Pro, but I'm skeptical.
don't even think about overlapping jobs in north jersey traffic, i lost a whole day last winter when a pergo install ran long and the crew sat in gridlock for two hours. ended up eating the overtime myself and the client was pissed anyway. stick to one install per day or you'll burn out your guys fast.

jobber sucks for any kinda traffic like that north jersey mess, it's like they designed it to screw over small crews. switch to housecall pro before it eats another $800 outta your pocket, those scheduling headaches are killing all of us out here.

Haha, sounds like my old carpet crew in traffic hell, we started bribing the guys with pizza for early starts and it cut the overlaps by half.
