Woke up to a full schedule of LVP installs today, quoted the client $4500 for 1200 sq ft of Coretec flooring but the wholesale price jumped 15% last month alone. By noon I'm sweating through the underlayment and the client's complaining about the subfloor prep time. These supply chain BS is turning every job into a profit squeeze, especially when you're gluing down planks that cost an arm and a leg now. FML.

goddamn supply chain is screwing us all, can't even get coretec without paying through the nose anymore. these wholesale hikes are gonna put half the installers out of business if they dont back off.

yeah, these damn suppliers jacked up coretec by 20% last month and im eating the difference on every job. gonna have to start quoting higher just to break even or im screwed.

man, if supply chains keep jacking prices like this, i'll be laying gold-plated LVP just to break even. had a job last week where the client haggled me down $200 on the quote, then asked why i wasn't using some fancy coretec pro plus or whatever the hell it's called. sweated bullets gluing it all down while the AC was busted, felt like i was in a sauna auditioning for hell. now i'm eyeing those cheapo imports from the big box stores, even if they look like they belong in a trailer park. at least my back's getting a workout carrying the blame for inflation. 😂

yeah these supply chain assholes jacked up my coretec order 20% last week and i had to eat half the increase on a 800 sq ft job. gonna start quoting higher just to stay afloat, this shit's exhausting.

those damn suppliers are straight-up robbing us blind with these lvp price jumps, cant even stock up without bleeding cash. im in the same boat, just quoted a 600 sq ft install and the markup barely covers my gas and subfloor patches. screw this, time to start pushing customers toward the cheaper crap theyre gonna ruin anyway.

damn supply chains are straight up screwing every flooring guy out there with these 15% hikes, and clients still nickel and dime us on prep like we aint bleeding profits already.

man, i feel that squeeze every damn day hauling around LVP like its gold-plated. just finished a 900 sq ft job last week and the Coretec price hike hit me for an extra $400 i wasnt countin on, turned my margin into thin air. clients always whine about the prep too, like they think subfloors magically level themselves. supply chain crap has us all bendin over backwards just to break even. been gluin down these planks for 10 years and prices never used to jump like this. FML right there with ya. gonna have to start quotin higher just to cover the BS. hang in there, brother.

hit $6k on a similar 1200 sq ft coretec job last week after baking in that 15% hike and the client loved the finish. feels damn good to turn the squeeze into a win.

goddamn supply chains got me quoting 20% over last year just to break even on that coretec crap. had a job last week where the wholesaler jacked prices mid-order and i ate the difference to keep the client happy. its bullshit how these fluctuations turn solid jobs into crap-shoots.

damn these suppliers jacking prices 15% outta nowhere, its like theyre colluding to screw every flooring guy out there. i quoted a similar 1000 sq ft job last week and barely broke even after the coretec hike, while the big box stores just pass it on without a sweat. fml, when does this bs end?

god i feel that, just ate a $800 hit on laminate overruns last week and the boss reamed me for not padding the quote enough. subfloors are always the wildcard.

Pad it next time, add a line for 'contingency' at 10% over material. Saved my ass on a Mohawk job recently, client didn't even blink. Also, check out those bulk deals from Floor & Decor if you're not already.

those damn suppliers jacking up LVP prices every quarter is straight up robbery, cant even get a straight quote without 'em slipping in a 20% hike last minute. and then the boss blames us for not seeing it coming? screw that, we gotta start pushing back on these overruns before they bankrupt every small outfit out there.
