Just wrapped up a commercial landscape job where the client balked at my $2500 quote to switch their old gas mowers to Greenworks battery ones, said it was too steep. Now six months later, they're calling back because their equipment is breaking down left and right and fuel costs are killing them. Shoulda listened, but nah, they went cheap and now it's a mess to fix.

quote them the full install with maintenance contract this time, add 20% for the hassle.

proud of you for sticking to your guns, i turned down a similar deal last year and got a better client right after.

don't touch it without a signed contract upfront, learned that the hard way on a pest control gig.

absolutely, verbal agreements are worthless in this biz.

LOL, bet they thought $2500 was highway robbery until the repair bills piled up.

sharkbite fittings are trash for irrigation lines, but mowers? greenworks holds up fine if you maintain em.

private equity vultures are swooping in buying up landscape firms, screwing over guys like us with bad deals.

never quote without a deposit, especially for equipment swaps like that.

this crap happens too often, clients undervalue the switch until it's too late.

going cheap on batteries just leads to more breakdowns, stick to your price.

insurance rates for equipment theft went up again, that's why i push brands like greenworks with good warranties.

upsell the full package now, include mulching attachments for extra margin.

add a 'why this brand' section, clients eat that up when you explain the tech.
