I'm a veteran hauler and I see this all the time with green guys starting out in general contracting. They grab the cheap no-name trimmer to save a few bucks but end up replacing it every season, costing them $150 each time plus lost jobs. Stick with Stihl from the jump, it's built to handle the daily grind without crapping out mid-mow. Saw a thread on r/smallbusiness where someone shared the same headache.

man, i feel that. started with a bargain bin trimmer and it died on my first big yard job, left me looking like an idiot in front of the client.

warning to all newbies: cheap tools lead to callbacks and pissed off customers who think you're unreliable.

haha, reminds me of the time my buddy's bargain trimmer exploded weed seeds everywhere, turned a simple lawn into a jungle regrow.

get the Stihl FS 56, it's only $170 but lasts years if you maintain it right. pair it with good ear pro to avoid the headaches.
