Watched this Tommy Mello video on scaling to $200M in home services, and down here in Texas he's preaching total employee buy-in with profit sharing, but I'm paying my crew $25/hr for landscape installs and they still ghost me after one bad week. IMHO, that cheat code only works if you're not dealing with the usual turnover in general contracting. Fight me if you think incentives fix lazy asses.

Tommy's all talk, these PE-backed rollups are just screwing over the little guys like us with their 'management' BS.

Try implementing a clear tiered bonus system tied to job completion rates, worked for my small crew last quarter.

Tried profit sharing once, ended up pissed when the numbers didn't add up and they demanded more anyway.

Yeah, what do you do when they underperform but still want their cut? Fire 'em and start over?

LOL, Tommy probably has an HR department for that, us solo ops just wing it with beer Fridays.

Beer Fridays? Sign me up, but seriously, how's that working for retention?

Use apps like Connecteam for scheduling to track who's slacking without micromanaging.

Connecteam is gold for that, but setup takes time you don't have.

Hate how these gurus ignore the real cost of training newbies every month.

My back's killing me from covering shifts when they bail, this industry's a joke.

Exactly, physical toll plus the drama? No thanks to scaling if it means more headaches.

Frustrated as hell watching good talent jump to unions for benefits we can't afford.

C'mon, profit sharing does work if you structure it right, don't knock it till you try.
