Alright folks, I've been running this referral gig for my general handyman work out here in Texas, where the heat never quits, and tying in some Trane unit installs has turned it into a goldmine. I throw in a $100 Visa card for anyone who sends me a buddy needing a new AC or basic home fixes, and boom, my calendar's packed. Last month alone, three referrals came from folks loving their Trane setup after I swapped out an old clunker. It's funny how one good install leads to the whole neighborhood calling, even for non-HVAC stuff like patching drywall. Georgia here, but nah, Texas. Anyone else mixing equipment brands into their referral hooks?

man i hate how angi and those lead mills steal all the referrals we should be getting from happy trane customers, its BS they jack up the prices and leave us with scraps

yeah angi's total BS, they steal all our good leads and leave us fightin over the scraps while trane customers go elsewhere

goddamn angi leads are killing me faster than a bad trane install, sucking up all my cash for bogus referrals while you're out there raking it in with smart visa hooks. it's bullshit how those platforms prey on us small guys, forcing us to beg for real word-of-mouth like cavemen. keep crushing it with the ac swaps, man, makes the rest of us look like chumps.

tried something similar last year with carrier installs but half my referrals ghosted me after getting the visa card, pissed off my whole schedule.

tie in those Trane rebates from Home Depot promotions to sweeten your $100 visa hook and watch referrals double.

man, i feel that texas heat turning every job into a referral frenzy, had a similar thing happen with some carrier installs that got the whole block calling me for leaky faucets instead of just ac work.

try bundling a free Trane filter change with referrals for non-hvac jobs, it hooks em in without cutting too deep into your margins.

just snagged my first referral from a carrier install i did last week and it led to two more handyman jobs, feels damn good to see the word spread like that.

smart move tying trane installs to referrals like that; i've boosted mine 20% by offering a free filter change on the next service call to keep 'em coming back for handyman jobs too.

Man, that sounds too good to be true. I've tried something similar with my electrical referrals and it flopped hard, people just take the gift card and ghost.

Gift cards are a scam waiting to happen. Better to offer a discount on their next service, keeps 'em coming back without the free ride.

Screw these cheap referral tactics, big corps are hoarding all the good leads anyway while us solo guys fight over scraps. Time to union up or something.

Trane's overrated, push something cheaper like Goodman in your program and watch referrals skyrocket without the premium price tag. Fight me on it.

Yeah, I feel you on the Texas heat making everything worse. My referrals dried up last summer, same drought killing the whole biz.
