I've been using SharkBite push-fit fittings on all my general handyman jobs for the last 5 years, and not one has leaked on me yet. Charged a client $450 to reroute some copper lines in their basement with those bad boys, and it's been rock solid. People act like they're gonna fail any second, but IMO they're a lifesaver when you're fixing leaks in tight spots without soldering.

those purist plumbers who trash sharkbites are just pissed cuz they cant solder for shit and gotta charge extra to redo their own crap jobs.

those sharkbites are a lawyers wet dream waiting to happen when they leak in 10 years and some inspector tears open the wall.

hell yeah, all you haters calling sharkbites junk are just scared of anything that ain't soldered, but i've got 'em buried behind walls for years without a single leak.

those purists who swear by soldering are the real pain in the ass, always ragging on sharkbites like they're some cheap hack. meanwhile im out here saving time and not dealing with their BS callbacks from botched joints.

those purist plumbers who bitch about sharkbite like it's the devil's work just piss me off, man. they sit there preaching soldering all day while we're out here busting our asses in crawlspaces that'd make a contortionist cry. and dont get me started on the inspectors who nitpick every damn push-fit, acting like we've rigged the whole system to fail when it's code-approved and holding up fine. it's all just gatekeeping to make themselves feel superior, while us real-world guys know it saves time and headaches on repairs. screw em, keep pushing those fittings and let the leaks prove them wrong.

man, i feel you on the sharkbite haters, they're like 'oh it'll fail in a year' but i've got em buried in walls from five years back still dry as a bone. nothing worse than arguing with some armchair plumber while you're knee-deep in a crawlspace fix.

stick with sharkbites for those quick fixes, but always use the stiffeners on pex lines or you'll regret it later. i learned that the hard way on a basement job last month when one slipped and i had to redo the whole run. keeps everything secure without the hassle of crimps every time.

Bullshit, I've seen more callbacks from SharkBites than I care to count, especially on high-pressure lines. Stick to soldering if you want it to last.

Fair point on the pressure, but for general low-flow repairs under 80 PSI, they hold up fine. Swapped in a SharkBite elbow on a garden hose hookup last week, no issues after a month. Just test 'em properly before closing up.
