Had a lady call me for installing floating shelves in her living room, she bought this DeWalt 20V MAX drill kit for $350 thinking it'd be silent as a mouse. I show up, drill the holes with it, and she's covering her ears like I'm running a jackhammer. Charged her $150 for the two-hour job, but now she's texting me about refunds cuz the noise 'ruined her vibe' SMH.

vibrating? try the customer who said my Festool sander was 'too dusty' even with the vac attached.

These homeowners watch one YouTube vid and think they're pros, then hire us to fix their messes.

Don't take the bait on refunds, document everything and stick to your terms.

Same here, client flipped out over a Ryobi fan's hum during install.

Happens all the time with power tools, they forget we're building not whispering.

Never install shelves without earplugs for the client too, half-joking.

SharkBite fittings are quieter than complaints, but some folks just gotta whine.

Walk away from refund requests, they'll call back anyway.

PE firms buying up tool rentals and jacking prices, now customers blame us for 'expensive' gear noise.

Bro, my last job she said the DeWalt was louder than her ex, still paid up though.

Disagree, sometimes a discount keeps the referral coming.

Frustrated as hell, spent 3 hours on her shelves and this is the thanks?

SharkBites behind walls? Nah, but for shelves, overkill anyway.

This crap with picky clients is why I raised my minimum to $200.

What kinda wood were the shelves? Pine or oak? Might explain the drill torque.

Insurance companies loving these 'vibe-ruining' claims, premiums up 20% cuz of BS like this.

Learned the hard way, always get a signed waiver for tool noise.

Try Jobber for contracts, spells out noise expectations clear as day.

Wago connectors are silent heroes, but drills? No way around it.

these entitled homeowners think every power tool's a whisper, but they won't hesitate to bitch about a $350 deWalt set being too loud while they're swinging hammers like idiots themselves.
