So I'm out here in Arizona the heat's brutal this time of year and I get called for a basic door jamb repair in this old mobile home. Guy swears it's a stuck door but when I show up he's got the damn thing painted shut because he thought that'd fix the draft. NGL I almost lost it trying not to laugh while scraping away his Benjamin Moore attempt at sealing it. Saw a similar story in Handyman Nation group last month where a customer tried gluing their own cabinet doors with super glue. TBH these DIY disasters keep me in business but man they make for good rants. Who's got the top customer bonehead move on a handyman gig?

customers like that are the WORST, always thinking a door install is some kinda magic trick from home depot tiktok instead of actual work.
W
WeedWhackerPro2⚒️ Journeyman1mo

those home depot tiktok hacks are straight up BS, they got people thinking prehung doors install themselves without checkin square or plumb. i always tell em flat out, if you wanna DIY your masonite special, go ahead and call me when it binds up in a week. worst part is half my callbacks are from folks who watched one youtube vid and thought they were pros. fight me if you disagree, but real carpentry aint magic.
