Up in central California last week, quoting a $750 attic insulation job for this guy, and his old wooden ladder nearly buckled under me when I was up there measuring. Heart skipped a beat thinking I was gonna eat it from 10 feet up, but caught myself on a beam just in time. These homeowners never maintain their gear, and now I'm double-charging for any ladder use on site.

Proud of ya for catching that beam, saved yourself a hospital bill and the job. I always bring my own Little Giant now, no more trusting client crap.

Little Giant is solid, but I mod mine with extra straps after a similar scare.

FML, had a deck collapse on me two months back from rotten wood the client swore was fine. Bruised ribs and a pissed off schedule ever since.

Damn, that sucks man, been there with sketchy setups too many times. Always test weight first and have a spotter if you can.
