So I'm out here in Arizona the sun's beating down while I'm trying to juggle my handyman gigs and subcontracting out the bigger drywall patches to keep things moving. Last week I hired a sub to fix up this busted wall in a kitchen remodel, he did solid work with the 1/2 inch sheetrock and joint compound but then comes invoicing time and his bill comes in with no itemized breakdown, just a lump sum that doesn't match my QuickBooks setup. I end up spending two hours reconciling it all because I use Jobber for my main jobs and it doesn't play nice with his paper receipts. Guy in the Handyman Nation Facebook group mentioned using ServiceTitan for subs but that seems overkill for my small operation. NGL, I almost just paid him cash under the table to avoid the headache but I know that's a bad idea. Anyone got a simple way to handle sub invoices without losing your mind? Saw a Tommy Mello video on scaling handyman businesses and he touched on this but didn't go deep.
