Hit a milestone today, landed a repeat client for monthly maintenance on their rental properties. Been grinding side jobs with my DeWalt 20V kit for what feels like forever, fixing leaky faucets and patching drywall holes. Watched that Tommy Mello video on scaling a handyman biz and it pushed me to get my business cards printed up. Someone in the Handyman Nation Facebook group mentioned using Jobber for scheduling, so I signed up and it made quoting a breeze. Proud as hell to be building something real now, even if it's just hanging shelves and assembling IKEA crap at first. NGL, it's a relief after all the no-shows and lowballers.

goddamn handyman newbies always bite off more than they can chew with rentals, watch out for slumlord drama.

Congrats man, start with a simple contract template to cover your ass on those repairs.

good call, free ones online but tweak for handyman stuff like liability on old wiring.

fuck these rental owners, they call at midnight for 'emergencies' that are just cosmetic bs.

nice win, Jobber's worth it for the automated reminders alone.

10 years in and still my best move was niching into rentals, steady paychecks beat one-offs.

hate how these gigs turn into endless callbacks for free fixes.

don't skip the insurance, one bad slip on a wet floor and you're toast.

been there, quotes always undercut by taskrabbit hacks who half-ass it.

sharkbite fittings for plumbing jobs? fight me, they're gold for handymen on the go.
