After 3 years of hauling tools around in a beat-up Ford Transit, I just finished organizing my handyman van with custom shelves for quick access to stuff like my Milwaukee M18 drill kit and Ridgid plumbing snakes - makes grabbing gear for fence repairs or light electrical fixes a breeze. We're in Texas so the heat warps everything if not stored right, but added some vent fans and now jobs run 20% faster without digging through chaos. Watched that Dad Builds YouTube tour for inspo and copied his pegboard layout for small parts like screws and anchors. No more lost time on site, and it's cut down on those frustrating callbacks for forgotten caulk guns or levels. Proud of how it turned out, especially since I did the build myself over a weekend. If you're a handyman struggling with van org, this setup's a game-changer for daily ops.
dont bolt those shelves straight to the van floor without isolators, had a buddies rig shake loose on a bumpy texas backroad and tools went flying everywhere.

oh man, been there on a washboard dirt road up in the hills, my old setup turned the van into a pinball machine and i chased wrenches for an hour. isolators saved my ass after that mess.

bolt some adjustable shelving from lowes above your wheel wells to double storage without eating floor space, saved me hours on those multi-stop days.

sounds slick, but my van's org game is so bad i once spent 45 minutes hunting a milwaukee bit and charged the customer for 'consultation time' lol.

goddamn angi leads and their BS scheduling have me digging through my van like a maniac half the time, good on you for finally getting organized before it drives you nuts too.

pegboard's solid for small parts, but add some labeled bins like the dewalt toughsystem ones to keep screws from mixing up on bumpy texas roads.
