Out here in north jersey, we were ripping out some old cabinets in a 1920s house, and i almost took off two fingers with my milwaukee m18 sawzall because the blade guard jammed on a nail. the homeowner's wiring was a mess, no labels or anything, and i hit a live 120v line that arced like crazy, could've been a $5000 hospital bill easy. SMH, these old houses are death traps for handymen. i told the guy in handyman nation facebook group about it and he said same crap happens all the time up here. now i double check every stud with a franklin sensor before cutting. seriously, apprentices, don't skip that step or you'll be screwed.

damn, those old jersey houses are straight up booby traps, had a similar scare with a live wire arc last summer that left me sweatin bullets, same shit here bro.

been swingin my milwaukee m18 sawzall for 15 years straight without a single jam, that thing's a beast on remodel jobs like yours. always pays off when you maintain the blade guard right, keeps you in the game longer than the rest.

yeah man, that franklin sensor's a game changer but i always pair it with my klein voltage tester too, just to be sure before i fire up the sawzall. last week i was cuttin into a wall in an old colonial and it saved me from zappin a live 15 amp circuit. wouldnt go near a remodel without double checkin every line now, nails and wires are hidden everywhere. hit me up if you got any tips on keepin the m18 battery from dyin mid job.
