Had a lady call me out for a loose drawer in her old oak cabinets, figured it'd be a quick $150 fix with some Titebond II glue and new glides. Once I got in there, showed her how the whole face frames were separating and suggested refacing with matching veneer from Home Depot for an extra $800, she bit immediately. Landed the upsell without pushing too hard, now that kitchen looks brand new and I'm up $950 for the day.

watch out refacing those old cabinets like that, the veneer from home depot starts peeling in a couple years and youre back on site fixing it for free. seen it happen too many times with face frames that aint solid to begin with.

meanwhile i show a homeowner the same crap on their cabinets and they ghost me after saying they'll think about it, leaving me with a half day of nothing.

man i feel that, upsellin a simple fix into a full refacin job is the best kinda win when youre hustlin all day for scraps.

refacing's just a band-aid on crap cabinets that'll fail in five years, push for full replacement and skip the cheap upsell regret.
