Trying to speed up my quoting for small jobs like shelf installs and door hangs, but my old Stanley tape is killing me on accuracy. Looking at the Bosch GLM 20, it's like $80 on Amazon and seems solid for the price. Anyone got experience with it or a better option in that range for estimating without fuss?

bosch glm 20's a solid pick for quick estimates, been using mine for two years on shelf and door jobs without a single glitch. if you're doing alot of angles though, grab the dewalt dw099s instead, it's got the indirect measure function that'll save you time on weird spots. either way, ditch that tape measure for good.

dude, i thought my stanley tape was accurate til i used it to hang a door and ended up with a gap you could slide a beer can through. bosch glm 20 saved my ass on estimates, no more swearing at crooked walls.

those damn tapes are a joke for any job over 10 feet, always stretching or sagging and making me look like an idiot to picky homeowners. bosch glm 20 is the only one that doesn't crap out on me during estimates, but amazon's prices are straight robbery half the time. we all get screwed by these budget tools that promise the world and deliver headaches.

those amazon prices are a total scam, man, they jack em up just to screw us handymen trying to get decent gear without breaking the bank. ive been burned twice on the bosch glm 20, paid 120 one time and then it shoots to 180 outta nowhere, what the hell is that about. picky homeowners already think were ripping em off, and then the tools fail us too, its like the universes got it out for us small guys. tapes sagging? yeah, had a job last week where it tangled up mid-measure, client laughed and said i looked like a rookie, pissed me off. brands promising accuracy but delivering junk half the time, its all corporate BS designed to keep us buying more crap. we should all boycott that site for estimates, hit em where it hurts. FML with these budget tools, gonna stick to local supply houses from now on even if it costs a bit more.

the bosch glm 20 is solid but i once used mine to measure a customer's ego and it just kept beeping 'error too big'. stick with it for estimates, saves your tape from a tape measure mutiny.

those damn tapes are a joke for quick quotes, always off by half an inch and pissing off picky homeowners who think you're lowballing them. bosch glm 20's been solid for me, just dont expect miracles from any cheap laser when the job site's a mess.

bosch glms are overrated crap, dewalts hold up way better on dusty roofs without glitching out every time you need a quick span measurement.

those damn tapes always screw you over when a homeowner's watching and questioning every inch, but the bosch glm 20 at least lets you look like you know your shit without the hassle.

that bosch is solid, but i once used my old stanley tape on a wonky shelf job and ended up measuring the customer's ego instead of the wall... never again 😂

bosch glm 20 is decent for quick grabs but i swear by the deWalt dw03050 at like $100, its got better range for those awkward shelf spots without fumbling around. tape measures are a pain in the ass for estimates, lasers just nail it every time. grab the deWalt if you can stretch the budget a tad, wont regret it.

man tapes are the WORST for quick bids, always end up with some crap measurement that throws off your quote. i been there fumblin with mine on a bunch of small roof patches til i grabbed a cheap laser. bosch glm20s solid for under 100, dont waste more til you know it works for ya.
