Man, I've been running solo handyman gigs for 8 years now, mostly deck repairs and drywall patches around north jersey, and I just bit the bullet on Housecall Pro thinking it'd streamline my invoicing after quoting out a $750 kitchen faucet swap last week. But damn, the thing keeps glitching on the mobile app when I'm trying to snap pics of the finished tile work and generate the invoice on site. Had a client waiting 20 minutes yesterday because it wouldn't sync my notes on the PEX lines I rerouted. AFAIK it's supposed to save time, but right now it's just adding BS to my day. Anyone else dealing with this crap, or should I switch to something like Jobber?

housecall pro is straight up screwing us solo guys with these glitches, it's like they forgot we're out in the field not at a desk. had the same bs last month on a $600 deck fix where the app froze mid-invoice and the customer got pissed waiting. these software companies charge an arm and a leg then deliver crap that wastes our time. switch to jobber before you lose more jobs to this headache.

housecall pro's mobile app is a glitchy piece of crap, been waiting 10 minutes on sync myself during a pest inspection last week and nearly lost a customer over it.

housecall pro is a total scam, keeps crashing on me too when im tryin to invoice after a long day of patching drywall in the rain. these software companies are just suckin our time and money while we bust our asses for peanuts.

jobber's mobile app syncs way better for me, no more 20-minute waits on site after i switched last year. just make sure to update it before jobs and test the pic upload in airplane mode if signal's crap in north jersey basements. been using it for pex reroutes and drywall invoices without a hitch since.

housecall pro's app is a total crapshoot, i've wasted hours on it trying to upload pics of patched walls and it just freezes up every damn time. switched to jobber last month and it's been smoother, but still had a client tap their foot while i fiddled with the invoice on site. these apps promise the world but deliver headaches, especially when you're solo and can't afford the downtime. north jersey traffic's bad enough without software screwing you over.

housecall pro is a total scam, keeps eating my time on jobs just like yours and i aint the only one pissed about it. these apps promise the world but deliver nothing but headaches, screw em all.

These software companies are all the same, sucking up our time instead of helping with real handyman jobs like grout matching or shelf installs.

Haha, yeah, I tried to invoice a door hardware swap and it charged me for premium templates I didn't even want. Felt like robbing my own wallet.

try housecall pro, its got a decent mobile app for quick invoicing without the bs. setup took me about an hour and now i just snap pics of jobs and send em right from the truck.

Switched to Jobber last month and it's been smooth for my lockout calls, no more app freezes mid-invoice.

Same here, been using it for basic repairs and the invoicing flows better than Housecall ever did for me.

jobber's a total cash grab, they hook you with the free trial then hit you with BS fees that eat half your profit on those quick lockout gigs.

Ugh, feel your pain, brother. Lost a whole afternoon last week because my invoicing app crashed during a cabinet hinge fix.

man, that crash sounds like my worst nightmare, lost two hours billing a simple shelf install last month cuz the damn app froze up solid. been there more times than i care to count, especially when you're knee deep in sawdust and just wanna wrap up. these invoicing tools promise the world but deliver headaches half the time, dont they? had one gig where the whole system glitched and i had to scribble everything on paper like it's 1995. sucks the life outta you after a long day on the job. we should just union up against these buggy softwares already.

Frustrated as hell with these apps too, they promise the world but can't handle simple trim work invoices without lagging.

I get it, been there with software eating my schedule on paint touch-ups. Hang in there, it'll sort itself eventually.

What specific features are you looking for in the invoicing part? Like auto-payments or just basic PDF gen?

Try ditching the app for a quick voice note on your phone, then invoice later over coffee. Saved my sanity on a few fence repairs.

voice notes sound like a lifesaver, man. what app you using for that, or just the built-in one on iphone?

LOL, at least your software didn't autocorrect 'faucet' to 'fascist' on a client's bill like mine did once.

switch to housecall pro if jobber's autocorrect is screwing you over, it's got solid invoicing templates that don't pull that fascist BS and integrates quick with quickbooks for north jersey tax headaches.
